Short description
Build railways across Wales from 1910 and watch the Valleys grow around them.
Long description
It's 1910. Coal is king, the Valleys are full of collieries and terraced streets, and Cardiff is the busiest coal port in the world. You have £100,000, a depot and a dream.
Valleys Rising is a transport tycoon set in a real, hand-shaped Wales: from the Rhondda and the Taff to Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Severn. Lay track up the valleys, run coal down to the docks, carry miners to work and families to the seaside, and grow your company through a century of change.
The whole country is built from real height data, with about 70 towns and 150 villages sized from the 1911 census and named in Welsh and English. Draw track as smooth curves, with bridges, tunnels, stations, double track and signals; build steam, diesel and electric trains carriage by carriage; run buses and lorries from horse carts to HGVs; and feed fourteen industries in real supply chains, up to a shipyard at Barry Docks that launches the ships you supplied. Two world wars, the Depression and the decline of coal change what pays as the decades go by, and towns grow when you serve them well.
Made for phones, it plays in portrait or landscape and is fully offline: no adverts, no accounts, no pay-to-win and no data collected. Croeso i'r Cymoedd. Welcome to the Valleys.
